Carny (1980)

When the travelling carnival hits town, so do the hustlers, the conmen, the barkers, the freaks - a unique breed of people, part of the American way of life.

To Donna, a young waitress, the razzle-dazzle, the loud music, the bright lights mean escape from the boredom of her life in small town America.

Running away to join the carnival, she is forced to become a member of a troupe of strippers and her fast developing relationship with Patch the Clown, threatens his friendship with Carnival manager, Frankie.
However, their mutual respect for each other grows into an exotic three-sided love story - a story that could only happen at a Carny.
